To-Do: Before the Next Year Begins

What can you do in the last week of 2020?

1. Create a video diary. It’s the end of a decade. Hit the “record” button, film yourself and your family, and capture these few last days that are left.

2. Write a letter to your future self on FutureMe. Spill everything you want to remember — including the insecurities and the goals — and send some encouraging words your way.

3. Keep a handwritten entry. With thoughts, gratitude lists, or stuff in general — something tangible that you can look back at years later.

4. Get a bullet journal. Commit to a habit or a vision and track it — now you can try meditation, NoFap, or cycling daily. Mentioning it so that you can plan beforehand.

5. Stock up. Order foodstuff for your diet plan, or get any gear or instruments that you need to support your resolutions.

6. Do a wrap-up. Make some done lists, create a 30-minute video talking all that happened this year, write a year review blog post.

7. Make lists of books you’d want to read of documentaries that you’d prioritize over binge-watching random stuff. You’re more likely to do them that way.

8. Unload. Take time to introspect, re-assess the things that you’d want to fix or work on. Walk into the new year with a lighter-feeling heart.

9. Habits and skills. Would you want to take a poetry course online? Or have you been wanting to consistently journal for a year? Want to delete social media accounts? This could be the time to give that thing a shot.
