On Crushing Clichés

I scroll. I read. And then I roll my eyes.

  • Every tech-related thing is ‘cutting edge.’
  • All readers are ‘voracious.’
  • Most writers have a ‘flair for writing.’
  • AI and bitcoin-related predictions are ‘disruptive.’
  • Almost every #foodporn caption is ‘lip-smacking.’
  • Experienced LinkedIn folks have a ‘demonstrated track record.’
  • Every other online marketer is a ‘digital nomad.’
  • The advice some leader got was ‘life-changing.’

Great! Now it’s time we get over clichéd stuff and start using our brains. We were meant to be a little creative, weren’t we?

The first step could begin by using new words. Or by using simple, non-pretentious words. Only because certain words aren't banned doesn’t mean you should use them.

You don’t want to be boring, do you? You got it!

End of rambling.

Thank you.
